Bernabe LERENA (of Trinidad)

One of the men fathering Lerena children at Trinidad, Flores in the 1870s and 1880s. Wife: Casimira PELAEZ. 4 children 1871-1885. Six or seven men of a rare surname in one small inland town in a handful of years are almost certainly brothers or first cousins - this looks like the founding kindred of the surname in Uruguay. No Pablo and no Armando anywhere in the set. HE HAS AN AGE, AN ADDRESS AND A FIFTH CHILD, 9 October 2026. His grandson's birth act of 1897 gives him as 'Don BERNABE LERENA, Oriental, de sesenta y dos anos, casado, de profesion HACENDADO y vecino de CERRO COLORADO' - so born about 1835, a landholder, and living at Cerro Colorado rather than in Trinidad town. AND THE CHILD'S MOTHER, ANTONINA LERENA, IS HIS DAUGHTER - a fifth to set beside the four this archive had from 1871-1885. A SIXTH CHILD, 9 October 2026: JUAN. The 1905 baptism of Nepomuceno Teofilo at Trinidad gives 'Abuelos paternos: BERNABE y CASIMIRA PELAEZ' for a child of Juan Lerena and Eduviges Pelaez, and his son Juan is Juan Bernardo Lerena Pelaez, born 20 August 1871 - the groom of the 1894 dispensation. FOUR CHILDREN ON 13 SEPTEMBER, A FIFTH YESTERDAY, A SIXTH TODAY, AND EVERY ONE OF THEM FROM A GRANDCHILD'S RECORD. HIS PARENTS, HIS GRANDPARENTS, HIS WEDDING DATE AND HIS BIRTHPLACE, 9 October 2026 - AND A PRIEST'S DRAWING OF THE LOT. His own marriage expediente, Santisima Trinidad, 15 February 1858, calls him 'hijo legitimo de Don ALEJANDRO LERENA y Dona MARGARITA FERNANDEZ, NATURALES DE SAN JOSE y vecinos de esta', seeking to marry su parienta en SEGUNDO GRADO de consanguinidad en linea trasversal, Dona CASIMIRA PELAEZ. AND THE FOLIO CARRIES A KINSHIP SCHEMA THE CURA VICARIO DREW HIMSELF: RAMON LERENA / MARIA GONZALEZ at the apex, with lines down to ALEJANDRO LERENA / MARGARITA FERNANDEZ and ANTONINA LERENA / JUAN PELAES, and below them the two contracting parties. SO ALEJANDRO AND ANTONINA ARE BROTHER AND SISTER, AND BERNABE MARRIED HIS FIRST COUSIN. AND SOCORRO LERENA IS HIS SISTER, by the expediente of 1855 which gives her the same parents - which closes work-list row 196. THE TRANSCRIPT CALLS HIM 'BERNABE LERESA' AND THE PLATE SAYS LERENA. AND HE IS NOT UNATTACHED, AND HAS NOT BEEN SINCE 17 SEPTEMBER - THIS ROW WAS THE LAST PLACE TO SAY OTHERWISE. data/ramon-lerena-rosario.tsv has carried him as a son of ALEJANDRO LERENA since 17 September and /uruguay/ has drawn it; this row went on saying nothing joined him. THE REGISTER WAS CONTRADICTING THE ARCHIVE'S OWN EVIDENCE FILES FOR THREE WEEKS. See data/corrections.tsv. AND IT IS NOW DOCUMENTED AT PLATE LEVEL, TWICE: his own marriage expediente of 15 February 1858 names him 'hijo legitimo de Don ALEJANDRO LERENA y Dona MARGARITA FERNANDEZ' and carries the priest's schema; and ALEJANDRO'S OWN MARRIAGE ACT OF 16 SEPTEMBER 1825 at San Jose makes Alejandro 'hijo legitimo de RAMON LEREÑA y MARIA JOSEFA GONZALEZ', natural de la VILLA DEL ROSARIO. SO BERNABE IS A GRANDSON OF RAMON LERENA OF ROSARIO-COLLA, AND A FIRST COUSIN OF CIPRIANO. THE GUESS OF 13 SEPTEMBER IN THIS ROW - that the Trinidad men are 'almost certainly brothers or first cousins' - IS NOW PROVED FOR TWO OF THEM. AND TWO EARLIER DAUGHTERS, FOUND UNDER THE LLERENA SPELLING - 12 October 2026. MARGARITA MEDARDA DEL CORAZON DE JESUS, christened at Trinidad in 1859, and MARIA, born 13 May 1866 and christened on the 25th. THE 1859 CHILD MATTERS MOST: this row's six known children run from 1871, and 1859 sits a year after his marriage expediente of 15 February 1858 - which is where a first child belongs, and is eleven years earlier than anything this archive had. NEITHER IS MERGED WITH ANY MARIA ALREADY HELD. INDEX-LEVEL.
