Mauricio LERENA (of Colla/Rosario, m. Casimira Montano 1837)

THE PATRIARCH THIS ARCHIVE HAD RESEARCHED BUT NEVER MADE A PERSON. His marriage of 3 February 1837 at San Jose de Mayo gives birthplace COLLA - the old name of ROSARIO, COLONIA - father RAMON, mother MARIA GONZALES, wife CASIMIRA MONTANO (her parents Jose Montano and Ignacia Barredo). His children account for San Jose, Flores and Florida, with Salto and Montevideo besides - that is the finding of row 120 - and until today he existed here only inside other people's notes. TIER: INDEXED, not image-read. Not attached to Sancho's line by anything. AND THE PARENT-PAIR QUERY NAMES HIS CHILDREN, 21 September 2026. Searching MAURICIO LERENA and CASIMIRA MONTANO as a pair returns twelve Uruguayan records where either name alone returns a crowd. One is explicit: CIPRIANO LERENA MONTANA, whose 1928 death registration at Flores names both parents, and who is now in this register. FOUR MORE ARE CANDIDATES AND ARE NOT ENTERED: Manuel Lerena Montana (m. 20 April 1882, San Jose, b.1856), Ignacia Lerena (m. 27 April 1882, Trinidad, b.1864), Clara Lerena de Pallares (d. 3 March 1925, b.1848) and Ignacia Serena Leren de Dolz (d. 12 March 1921, b.1865). They match on the pair query but their own entries do not name the parents, and this archive does not enter a child on a query shape alone. The dates fit a marriage of 1837. AND A POSSIBLE BROTHER AND SISTER, 9 October 2026. If his parents Ramon Lerena and Maria Gonzales are the Ramon Lerena and Maria Gonzalez drawn at the apex of the 1858 Trinidad schema, then ALEJANDRO LERENA and ANTONINA LERENA of Trinidad are his siblings, and his children reaching Flores are cousins of the whole Trinidad kindred rather than strangers to it. STILL NOT MERGED. THE ACT IS READ OFF THE PLATE, 9 October 2026, AND THIS ROW'S OWN CAVEAT IS DISCHARGED. It carried 'TIER: INDEXED, not image-read' since 21 September. Teniente de cura Fray Froylan Mellid; certified by Jose Joaquin Reyna; witnesses Don Vicente Muniz and Dona CLARA LEDENA - so written, and NOT CLAIMED HERE AS A LERENA though the resemblance is obvious. HE WAS DEAD BY MARCH 1895, when his granddaughter's birth act calls him fallecido. AND A SECOND MAURICIO LERENA EXISTS: a man of fifty - read off the plate - signing as a witness in the First Section of Flores in May 1886. This man married in 1837 and cannot be he. NOT ENTERED AS HIS SON: an age of fifty in 1886 is a birth about 1836, which is before this marriage, so either the stated age is loose in the ordinary way or the two are not father and son. AND HIS BROTHER'S ACT IS NOW READ TOO, 9 October 2026. ALEJANDRO LERENA, natural de la VILLA DEL ROSARIO, married at the same church twelve years earlier - 16 September 1825 - and his act gives the same parents, RAMON LEREÑA and MARIA JOSEFA GONZALEZ. TWO BROTHERS, TWO ACTS, ONE PARISH, BOTH BORN IN THE ROSARIO-COLLA DISTRICT. AND IT SETTLES WHICH SIDE THE TRINIDAD KINDRED HANGS FROM: Alejandro's son is BERNABE, his own is CIPRIANO, and the two are first cousins.
