'Manuel Mauricio, que nacio el diez y siete de Junio ppo, hijo legitimo de Don Mauricio Lorena y Dona Casimira Montana; abuelos paternos [Fray] Ramon y [Maria] Gonzalez; maternos Jose y Ignacia Barredo; padrinos Don Alexando Lerena y Dona Clara Lerena' - his godparents are his father's brother and sister. Born sixteen months after their marriage of February 1837. A 'Manuel Mauricio Lorena' stands godfather at Trinidad in 1866 with Petrona Aguilar, and he would be twenty-eight; the Mauricio Lerena of that year, and the Mauricio of about 1836 who was 'casado' in 1886 at fifty, may be he.
