Manuel VAQUERO (m. Natalia Lerena)

HUSBAND OF NATALIA LERENA, FOUND 19 October 2026. Father of Manuel Indalecio (born 21 May 1862) and Pablo (born 26 January 1866), 'naturales de San Jose' on the second entry. HIS PARENTS, HIS TRADE AND HIS END ARE FOUND, 19 October 2026: the civil act of 11 March 1889 at Chamanga says Don Manuel Vaquero, 'de nacionalidad oriental de cincuenta y cuatro anos de edad, de estado casado y de profesion hacendado', was 'hijo de don Pedro Vaquero y de dona Manuela Muniz', his paternal grandparents Jose Vaquero and Antonia Martinez and his maternal Jose Munoz and Maria Sellanes, and that he died at Cerro Colorado at ten in the morning of 11 March 1889 of 'vomito de sangre'; the declarants were Pio C. Lerena, thirty-three, a hacendado of Cerro Colorado and 'sobrino politico del extinto', and Angel Baz, thirty-four. So he was born about 1835. The baptism of his daughter Alejandra Justa at San Jose on 5 March 1864 gives the same grandparents, Pedro and Manuela Muniz. In July 1861 he asked the curia at Montevideo for the dispensation of the banns to marry Natalia Lerena of Trinidad. A 'Victoria Vaquero' stands godparent at the 1864 baptism of his daughter (a Vaquero kinsman or kinswoman, not placed).
