Manuel Indalecio VAQUERO (b. 1862, Trinidad)

THE MANUEL VAQUERO OF 1891, 1892 AND 1902 IS HER NEPHEW AND HER FATHER'S 'SINGLE SURVIVING SON', 19 October 2026. 'Manuel Yndalejio Vaquero, que nacio el veinte y uno de Mayo de este mismo ano, hijo legitimo de Manuel Vaquero y de Natalia Lerena', christened 2 June 1862 at Trinidad with Alexandro Lerena and Margarita Fernandez as godparents. The procurador Manuel Vaquero, 'treinta' on 3 May 1892 and 'treinta y nueve' on 23 March 1902, who was the first declarant on his aunt Maria Lerena's civil act of 1892 ('como pariente') and on her grandson's in 1902 ('de la familia del fallecido'), fits his age, his name and his family. The civil act of 11 March 1889 says his father Manuel Vaquero left 'su hijo llamado Manuel Vaquero' - one son, so the name settles which; and two more civil acts give the procurador's age: 'veintinueve anos' and 'vecino de Porongos' on 10 July 1891 (ark 3:1:3Q9M-CS24-QW9W) and forty on 29 August 1902 (ark 3:1:3Q9M-CS24-Q7GQ, where he is 'de la familia del fallecido' for a Pelaez child whose mother is his first cousin Alejandrina Lerena). Twenty-nine in July 1891, thirty in May 1892 and forty in 1902 fit 21 May 1862 within a year. STRONG, NOT PROVED: no act says 'procurador' of the child of 1862, but the age, the name, the sole-son statement and the family tie all agree. HE MAY ALSO BE THE MANUEL VAQUERO MARRIED TO AURORA LERENA, whose five children were registered at Trinidad between 1891 and 1900 (index only; Aurora is the daughter of an Alejandro F. Lerena and a Natalia Lerena): a first cousin's marriage if so, and not shown.
