Elisa PELAEZ Lerena (b. 1878, d. 1963)

A DAUGHTER OF MALVINO PELAEZ AND ALEJANDRINA LERENA, NEW TO THE REGISTER, BORN 27 JULY 1878 AND DEAD AT EIGHTY-FIVE, FOUND 4 November 2026. Trinidad, Primera Seccion, civil death act no. 126 of 27 August 1963, 3 o'clock in the afternoon, before the Oficial Edison Ivan Camacho [read] (group image 3149, item 13, the book titled 'Flores. Death Certificates 1943, 1933-1964', READ AT THE PLATE AND ZOOMED; declarants Walter Lister Cristech and Hugo Ruben Cristech, merchants; the margin 'Pelaez Elisa'): 'a las 19 horas del dia de ayer y en la calle [name not settled] no. 305 fallecio ELISA PELAEZ, del sexo femenino, de nacionalidad oriental, nacida en la 6a seccion de Flores el 27 de Julio de 1878, de ochenta y cinco anos de edad, de estado soltera, de profesion jubilada [an abbreviation after it not read], a consecuencia de uremia, segun consta del certificado del Doctor Fernando Gonzalez [read]; que la finada era hija de MALVINO PELAEZ y de ALEJANDRINA LERENA'. SHE DIED ON 26 AUGUST 1963 (died 26 August 1963, 'el dia de ayer' of an act of 27 August). SHE IS THE SECOND CHILD HELD FOR THE COUPLE BY BIRTH DATE, after Maria (baptised 19 May 1877): Alejandrina was about twenty-six, and the birth falls fourteen months after Maria's. SHE IS THE 'ELISA' OF THE SIX CHILDREN NAMED IN THE CIVIL ACT ON HER FATHER'S DEATH IN 1923 (Juan Pedro, Maria, Elisa, Clara, Aurora and Julia; see Alejandrina's row): the parents here are those of that act and no other Elisa is held for the couple, so the two are taken for one woman (an inference from the name, not a stated link). She was single and retired; the act names no husband and no children. NOT KNOWN: her baptism (none is held for 1878, and the act puts her birth in the sixth section, not at Trinidad).
