Es hija legitima de Don Balbino Pelaez y de Dona Alejandrina Lerena, orientales. Abuelos paternos Don Juan y Dona Antonina Lerena, maternos, Don Alejandro y Dona Isidora Choncino [Chourino]. Fueron padrinos Don Bernabe Lerena y Dona Casimira Pelaez, representada por Dona Maria Pelaez', baptised 19 May 1877 at Trinidad. Her godmother Casimira Pelaez is her father's sister (absent, she was stood in for by Maria Pelaez); the godfather Bernabe Lerena is of her mother's family, the act not saying how.
