Viviano Eliseo LERENA Beloqui (b. 1880, d. 1912)

A SON OF CIPRIANO LERENA AND LAURIANA BELOQUI, BORN 2 DECEMBER 1880, AND HIS DEATH ON 27 SEPTEMBER 1912, FOUND 26 October 2026. Baptised 3 May 1881 by Don Dionisio Garcia Caballero, 'Viviano Eliseo [the margin 'Viviano Eliseo Lerena'; the machine's text 'Viviano Viscanito'], que nacio el dos de Diciembre del ano pasado, hijo legitimo de Don Cipriano Lerena y de Dona Laureana Beloqui, orientales; abuelos maternos Don Pedro y Dona Dorotea Delgado; paternos Don Mauricio y Dona Casimira Montana; padrinos Don Evaristo Cespedes y Dona Casimira Montana' - his paternal grandmother is his godmother. HE DIED ON 27 SEPTEMBER 1912, aged thirty-two, married, a day-labourer ('jornalero'), at the Puntas de San Jose, of a cause the transcript does not give; his father Cipriano, sixty-one, is alive and his mother Lauriana Beloque 'fallecida'; the act is declared by his brother Ademar Lerena. His wife is not named in the transcript read. The Eliseo of 1912 is Viviano Eliseo of 1880 by age (thirty-one in September 1912) and by both parents' names. HIS CIVIL MARRIAGE, 1 MARCH 1911, 26 October 2026: 'En Puntas de San Jose el dia primero de Marzo del ano de mil novecientos once a las once de la manana, por ante mi Pedro A. Paredes, Juez de Paz y Oficial del Estado Civil de la Quinta seccion del Departamento de Flores, comparecieron Don Eliseo Lerena, ... de profesion jornalero, de nacionalidad oriental, nacido el dia doce de Setiembre de mil ochocientos ochenta y uno [sic] ..., hijo de Don Cipriano Lerena, de estado viudo, de profesion hacendado, ... y de Dona Laureana Beloqui, ... fallecida, y Dona Clara A. Plaza, ... nacida el dia doce de Agosto de mil ochocientos noventa y cuatro en el Departamento de Flores y domiciliada en Puntas de San Jose, hija de Don Froilan Plaza, ... fallecido, y de Dona Ezequiela Paven, viuda ... Fueron testigos Don Adelmar Lerena, de veinte y cinco anos de edad, de estado soltero ...'. So he married at thirty, a day-labourer (the machine's 'casado' is the status in the act's own formula), to a girl of sixteen, with his father already a widower and his mother dead; his brother Ademar, twenty-five, is a witness. THE ACT GIVES HIS BIRTH AS 12 SEPTEMBER 1881 where the baptism of 3 May 1881 puts it on 2 December 1880 and his death act of 1912 gives thirty-two: the 1881 is the declarants' error or the machine's, and the baptism is the better witness.
