Flores, Birth Records 1898-1901, image 105, act no. 62 (Chamanga, 31 October 1900, 9 in the morning, before Esteban Indarte; the margin 'Elena Pilar Lerena'): 'Don Juan Lerena, de veintinueve anos, casado, hacendado, vecino de esta Seccion' declares the birth on 12 October at 5 a.m. at the Cerro Colorado of a daughter 'hija legitima del compareciente y de su esposa Dona Eduviges Pelaez, de veinticinco anos, casada, oriental'; paternal grandparents 'Don Bernabe Lerena, de sesenta y cinco anos, casado, oriental, hacendado, y Dona Casimira Pelaez, de [cincuenta y siete: the figure is written over another], casada, labores, domiciliados en Cerro Colorado'; maternal 'Don Juan Pelaez, de cuarenta y siete anos, viudo, hacendado, domiciliado en esta Seccion (Cerro Colorado), y Dona Eduviges Florencio, fallecida'; the name ELENA PILAR; the witnesses Felipe Hidalgo (52) and Juan San Juan (46).
