A SON OF JUAN LERENA AND EDUVIGES PELAEZ, BORN 26 JANUARY [1898], FOUND 29 October 2026. The margin reads 'Lerena Policarpio Amador' and the entry, no. 170 of folio 280: 'El diecise[is] de Marzo de mil ochocientos noventa y nueve [sic - the plate reads 'nueve' where the entries around it, of 14-18 March, read 'ocho'], ... Policarpio Amador, que nacio el veintiseis de Enero ultimo, hijo legitimo de Juan Lerena y de Eduviges Pelaez, orientales. Fueron padrinos Serapio Fernandez y Antonina Lerena' - the priest has slipped a year: the book runs January 1895 to June 1898 and the entries on either side (nos. 164-169, 14 and 16 March; the next, 18 March) are of 1898, so he is baptised 16 March 1898, born 26 January 1898. HE MAY BE THE AMADOR LERENA PELAEZ WHO DIED AT DURAZNO ON 31 JANUARY 1937 'aged thirty-five' - that would make him born about 1901-02, three or four years off, so NOT MERGED and not identified.
