What is known
A DAUGHTER OF PEDRO LERENA AND TERESA LEONAR, READ AT THE PLATE, 17 October 2026, AND NOT IN THE 1901 ACT. Christened 30 April 1864 at the Catedral (the index puts it at La Union, which is the index's place field and not the volume): 'bautizo solemnemente a Manuela, que nacio el nueve del corriente, hija legitima de Pedro Lerena y de Teresa Leonar. Abuelos Paternos Pedro y Maria Pereyra. Maternos Antonio y Manuela Barriaga. Padrinos Jose Paredes y Manuela Barriaga' - the cura rector signs Inocencio Maria Pereyra. NAMED FOR HER MATERNAL GRANDMOTHER, WHO STOOD AS HER GODMOTHER. Her mother's death act of 1901 names only a son, so she was probably dead by then or the clerk did not list her - not established.
