'Don JULIAN LERENA Y AGUILAR, de veintinueve anos, casado, oriental, criador, vecino de Sarandi', declaring on 19 December 1897 before Manuel R. Pereyra that on the [twenty-ninth, read, not settled] of November at four in the morning his wife 'Dona Justina Caceres, de diecinueve anos [read]' bore a son; paternal grandparents 'Don MAURICIO LERENA y de la finada Dona PETRONA AGUILAR, ambos orientales', maternal 'el finado Don GREGORIO CACERES y de Dona JUSTINA PIAGGIO'; named Andres; witnesses Julian C. Rodriguez and Roman M. Beruta [read]; he signs 'Julian Lerena y Aguilar' (image 250, act no. 70, READ AT THE PLATE). The facing page of the volume is a struck-through blank form with a later note of 1897 on the book's numbering. HIS DEATH, 2 AUGUST 1899, AT TWO, 4 November 2026. Civil death act no. 9 (the number is read 19 in the margin; the act is dated 5 August 1899, Goni, before Nemesio Cabana; Florida 'Death Records 1897-1912', image 32, read at the plate): 'ANDRES LERENA ... nacido en el mismo lugar [Piedras Coloradas], de dos anos de edad' died at eleven at night on the 2nd at Piedras Coloradas, cause unknown; 'hijo legitimo de Don JULIAN LERENA, oriental, de treinta y un anos, y de Dona JUSTINA CACERES, oriental, de veintiun anos; abuelos paternos Don MAURICIO LERENA y la finada PETRONA AGUILAR, maternos Don GREGORIO CACERES, finado, y Dona JUSTINA PIAGGIO'. The first declarant, ANDRES PIAGGIO (twenty-eight, married, criador, of Piedras Coloradas), is 'tio del fallecido'; the second, Nicanor Alaniz (thirty-four, of the sauce del Yi), a neighbour. THE BIRTH ACT SAYS NOVEMBER 1897; two years is the act's round figure. He is NOT among the three children named in his father's death act of 1902.
