What is known

THE MOTHER OF GIL LERENA, NAMED IN HIS MARRIAGE ACT OF 15 JANUARY 1845, FOUND 5 November 2026. 'Isidora Izaural[...]' on the marriage act (PLATE READ; the surname is cut at the plate edge); the 1850 baptism of her grandson Fermin Tomas (PLATE READ) writes 'Isidora Isaurrant[e]', and the machine text of the children's baptisms 'Ysaurral[de]'. The ending of the surname is therefore not read; Ysaurralde (Basque, Izaurralde) is the reading the three acts point to. The only other Isidora Ysaurralde the full-text search met is in a Colonia burial of 1779 (a different woman). She is alive at no date: the 1845 act gives her son's parents as 'el finado Fidel y Isidora', so she is not called dead, and nothing is known of her after it. PLATE READ. NAMED ON THREE BAPTISMS OF HER GRANDCHILDREN, 5 November 2026 (PLATE READ): 'Isidora Isaurral[de]' (Maria Salome, 1847), 'Isidora Izaurral[de]' (Simon, 1848) and 'Isidora Isaurrant[e]' (Fermin Tomas, 1850): the surname is shortened by the scribe each time, so the form is Izaurralde / Ysaurralde, not settled to a spelling.
