Antonina LERENA (the elder, m. Juan PELAEZ)
A LERENA WHO MARRIED A PELAEZ A GENERATION BEFORE THE OTHERS. On 6 March 1880 at Trinidad, MARIA PELAEZ, thirty, 'hija legitima de Don JUAN PELAEZ [y] de Dona ANTONINA LERENA', married Don Rafael Sanchez, a widower - and Antonina witnessed her own daughter's wedding, with Don Balbino Pelaez. A DAUGHTER OF THIRTY IN 1880 PUTS HER OWN BIRTH NEAR 1830. SO A LERENA MARRIED A PELAEZ AROUND 1845, and Bernabe Lerena married another Pelaez a generation later. That is why the couples of 1885, 1894 and 1913 all needed dispensing: two families had been marrying each other for two generations. HER PARENTS, 9 October 2026, AND SHE IS DRAWN AS A DAUGHTER. The kinship schema on the 1858 Bernabe Lerena expediente puts RAMON LERENA and MARIA GONZALEZ at the apex and runs a line down to ANTONINA LERENA / JUAN PELAES, so she is a daughter of Ramon Lerena and Maria Gonzalez and a SISTER OF ALEJANDRO LERENA. NATURAL DE SAN JOSE, by the same document. AND SHE IS THE MOTHER OF CASIMIRA PELAEZ, who married Alejandro's son Bernabe - which is the whole of the second degree the Archbishop dispensed in 1858. THE TRANSCRIPT WRITES HER 'ANTONINA LORENA' IN THE DIAGRAM AND 'ANTONINA LERENA' FOUR LINES ABOVE IT, IN THE SAME HAND. HER DEATH ACT, READ OFF THE PLATE 10 October 2026 - AND IT CONFIRMS THE 1858 DIAGRAM FROM A CIVIL REGISTER. She died at Cerro Colorado, Sexta Seccion de Flores, on 22 July 1911, on her own estancia, registered on the 28th: 'ANTONINA ISABEL LERENA DE PELAEZ... NACIDA EN MONTEVIDEO, de NOVENTA Y DOS ANOS de edad, de estado viuda... hija legitima de Don RAMON LERENA y de Dona MARIA GONZALEZ, fallecidos'. A PRIEST DREW THAT PARENTAGE IN 1858 AND A JUEZ DE PAZ WROTE IT IN 1911, IN TWO SEPARATE RECORD SYSTEMS. HER AGE CORRECTS THIS ROW: it carried 1830, inferred from a daughter of thirty in 1880; the act states ninety-two, so about 1819. AND HER BIRTHPLACE CONTRADICTS THE 1858 EXPEDIENTE, which calls her and Juan Pelaez 'naturales de SAN JOSE'. SHE WAS BORN AT MONTEVIDEO, which is where Ramon's other children were christened between 1812 and 1821. Recorded as a conflict. HER HUSBAND IS JUAN PEDRO PELAEZ, not simply Juan. AND SHE LEFT FOUR CHILDREN, NAMED: CASIMIRA JOSEFA, MALBINO HIPOLITO, MARIA INOCENCIA and JUAN FABIAN - three of whom this register already held as separate people.
