The Lerena Archive
A person of this surname, unplaced

Felicia LERENA (dau. of Mauricio, m. 19 Dec 1874 San Jose)

A SECOND CHILD OF THE 1837 COLLA COUPLE, found 11 October 2026 - and she is one of the three 'San Jose mothers' work-list row 187 could not place. She married at the CATEDRAL BASILICA SAN JOSE, San Jose de Mayo, on 19 DECEMBER 1874, and the act names her parents as MAURICIO LERENA and CASIMIRA MONTANA. THAT IS THE COUPLE MARRIED AT COLLA IN 1837, whose son MANUEL married at Trinidad in 1882. So the Rosario-Colla house put children into SAN JOSE as well as FLORES. AND IT EXPLAINS THE ROW 187 PUZZLE: that row records a Lerena woman mothering a child at San Jose in 1875 with no father traceable by a surname search - a woman married in December 1874 would do exactly that, and her children would carry her husband's name, not Lerena. HER HUSBAND'S NAME IS CUT OFF IN THE INDEX ROW AND HAS NOT BEEN READ. INDEX ONLY.
