Mayor Don Joaquin RUIZ DE CARVALLO

Father of Capitan Antonio Ruiz de Carvallo and so father-in-law of Sancho's daughter Dominga. A MAJOR. Named in the Catedral baptism of 12 May 1827; his wife Dona Juana Suarez is already dead by then. ALSO NAMED IN 1840 - as "D. JOAQUIN RODRIGUEZ ... natural de la COLONIA DEL SACRAMENTO", the same man under the register's other spelling of the surname. So the Carvallos came to Montevideo from the Colonia del Sacramento. READ OFF THE PLATE 21 September 2026, where this row had rested on a MACHINE TRANSCRIPT. Film 007713376 image 00601, folio 150 - the baptism of 12 May 1827 at the Iglesia Matriz de San Felipe y Santiago de Montevideo. 'Nieta paterna del MAYOR D.n JOAQUIN RU[iz de Carvallo]' - his rank and his name, on the plate. THIS ROW WAS RIGHT AND ANOTHER ROW CONTRADICTED IT FOR THREE WEEKS - settled on the plate, 11 October 2026. It has always said he was 'ALSO NAMED IN 1840', while the register simultaneously carried a 'Don Domingo RODRIGUEZ (the elder, of la Colonia)' built from the same sentence of the same act. THE PLATE READS 'Nieto Pat.o de D. JOAQUIN RODRIG.z y D.a Juana del Espiritu S.to: AMBOS NAT.S DE LA COLONIA DEL SACRAM.TO', and the act's own names panel gives 'Pats. Joaquin Rodriguez'. SO THE OTHER MAN IS WITHDRAWN AND HIS ADDRESS REDIRECTS HERE. AND HIS WIFE IS NOW NAMED TWICE OVER: 1827 gives her as JUANA SUAREZ, 1840 as JUANA DEL ESPIRITU SANTO, both as the mother of his son Antonio - one woman under two names, merged into 'Dona Juana SUAREZ' the same day. WHAT THE TWO ACTS TOGETHER ESTABLISH: Joaquin and his wife were both natives of the COLONIA DEL SACRAMENTO, their son Antonio was born in the PROVINCIA DEL RIO GRANDE in Brazil, and the family was in Montevideo by 1827. A household that moved twice before it married into Sancho's.
