Fernando MORATORIO (the younger)

HE WAS MISSING FROM THIS REGISTER WHILE HIS PARENTS, HIS WIFE AND BOTH HIS DAUGHTERS WERE IN IT. Entered 28 September 2026, found by asking which people the register NAMES but does not HOLD. Husband of JOSEFA LERENA TRAIBEL (1851-1947), Avelino and Ambrosia's daughter, and father of MARIA CARLOTA and MARIA DE LAS MERCEDES MORATORIO LERENA, baptised together at the Catedral Basilica on 8 March 1880 - the twins settled on the plate, both acts reading 'que nacio el veinte y cuatro de Febrero ultimo'. His own parents are named on those same acts as the paternal grandparents: FERNANDO MORATORIO the elder and NICOLASA TORRES. HE IS THE JOINT THE WHOLE MORATORIO BRANCH HANGS FROM, and for six months it hung from nothing. HE WITNESSED HIS NIECE-BY-MARRIAGE'S WEDDING, 20 November 1897 - found 11 October 2026. The act names 'Don FERNANDO MORATORIO, de CINCUENTA anos de edad, de estado casado, de profesion COMERCIO, de nacionalidad ORIENTAL, domiciliado en la calle URUGUAY No. 97' as the first witness at the marriage of ANGELICA MARIA LERENA VILLADEMOROS, who is the daughter of his wife's brother. FIFTY IN 1897 GIVES HIM A BIRTH YEAR OF ABOUT 1847, which fits a man married to Josefa Lerena Traibel, born 1851. THE IDENTIFICATION IS ON AGE, PLACE, STATUS AND THE FAMILY TIE, NOT ON THE NAME ALONE - his father of the same name is a generation older - but it is not proved, and the act does not name his wife. HE IS ALSO THE REASON THE MORATORIO SURNAME RECURS IN THIS REGISTER: the Moratorio Lerena children are his.
